Launched in fall 2009, the Faculty Mentoring Program for exchange students in the Civil Law Section matches, on a voluntary basis, civil law students with exchange students from partner faculties and institutions during the academic year.
As ambassadors of your home faculty, you have much to offer outgoing students from the Civil Law Section. You can inspire them and guide them as they prepare to leave. You can tell them about the field of law of particular interest to you, reassure them about oral examinations that sometimes count for 100% of the final grade, and offer them advice not only on the lifestyle to adopt in your home country or in a neighbouring one, but also on the cultural differences within the university community.

For their part, the Section’s outgoing students can help you integrate into the university community and into life in Canada, provide valuable advice on teaching and study methods, and even help you pick out a good winter coat!

An exchange is far more than a study term abroad. . . it’s a compelling experience in human relations and mutual support!

For more information on this mutual support program and to register, please contact the Civil Law Section,
