Co-operative education at the University of Ottawa allows you to apply concepts learned in class during paid work terms. After about four years of study, you will have not only a diploma that indicates you participated in a CO-OP program but also approximately 16 months of experience in your field of study and a network of valuable contacts. All of these factors will contribute to helping you find a job more easily after graduation.

The Law Foundation of Ontario: An Outstanding Partner
The Civil Law section of the Faculty of Law recognises the exceptional contribution of the Law Foundation of Ontario in funding internships in our cooperative education program. We are pleased to be able to count on the Foundation's financial contribution to offer internships to our students in not-for profit organizations whose main objective is to improve access to justice.
In 2017, thanks to funding received from The Law Foundation of Ontario, eight students were able to do their internships at the following organizations :
- Association of French Speaking Jurists of Ontario
- Notarial Law Clinic of the Outaouais
- Outaouais Community Justice Center
We thank The Law Foundation of Ontario, a privileged partner of the Civil Law Section of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa!
